- Reese Air Force Base (AFB) is a former United States Air Force base located in Lubbock County, Texas. It operated as a training base for the Air Force from 1942 until its closure in 1997. Reese AFB was primarily used for pilot training and housed the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program. After its closure, the base was transferred to the Reese Technology Center, which now operates on the site. The former runway at Reese AFB is now used for civilian aviation and is known as Reese Center Airport.
