The airport serves as the home base for the Navy's West Coast Strike Fighter Wing. NAS Lemoore is a significant air facility and is the largest Master Jet Base in the U.S. Navy. It also has the only Topgun training program for Navy and Marine Corps pilots. The airport has two runways and is primarily used for military aircraft operations.
