- Tiger Airways Australia was a low-cost airline based in Melbourne, Australia. It operated domestic flights within Australia as well as international flights to destinations in Southeast Asia such as Bali, Indonesia and Phuket, Thailand. The airline started operations in 2007 and had a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. However, in 2011, the airline faced safety concerns and was grounded temporarily by the Australian authorities. It was later rebranded as Tigerair Australia and continued operations under new ownership. However, in 2020, the airline announced that it would suspend all operations indefinitely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
