Orbest

  • Orbest Airline was a Portuguese charter airline that operated from 2007 to 2018. It was a subsidiary of Orbest, a Portuguese tour operator, and offered mainly leisure flights to popular tourist destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
  • Orbest Airline operated a fleet of Airbus A320 and Airbus A330 aircraft, and its main hubs were Lisbon Portela Airport in Portugal and José Martí International Airport in Havana, Cuba. The airline focused on providing affordable vacation packages and flights to popular holiday destinations, primarily catering to the Portuguese market.
  • However, in 2014, Orbest Airline faced financial difficulties and entered a restructuring process. Despite efforts to turn the airline around, it ultimately ceased operations in 2018 and its route network and aircraft were absorbed by its sister company, Evelop Airlines.
  • Today, Evelop Airlines continues to provide charter and scheduled flights to a range of leisure destinations.
