Mexicana de Aviación was a major Mexican airline that operated from 1921 to 2010. It was one of the oldest airlines in the world and a founding member of the airline alliance, SkyTeam. The airline had its headquarters in Mexico City and operated domestic and international flights to destinations in North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe and Asia.
Mexicana de Aviación faced financial challenges in the late 2000s and ultimately filed for bankruptcy in 2010. Despite efforts to restructure and find new investors, the airline was unable to continue operations. Mexicana de Aviación ceased all flights in August 2010, and its operations have not resumed since then.
