Japan Air System (JAS) was a Japanese airline that operated from 1988 to 2002. It was formed through the merger of a number of regional airlines in Japan, including Japan Domestic Airlines (JDA) and Toa Domestic Airlines. JAS was one of the country's major airlines during its existence. It primarily operated domestic flights within Japan, with a few international destinations in Asia. In April 2002, JAS merged with Japan Airlines (JAL) and ceased to exist as a separate airline brand.
