  • Salgado Filho International Airport (Aeroporto Internacional Salgado Filho) is the main airport serving the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. It is named after the Brazilian aviation pioneer Joaquim Pedro Salgado Filho. The airport is located in the neighborhood of São João, approximately 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) from downtown Porto Alegre. It is one of the busiest airports in southern Brazil, serving both domestic and international flights.
