SATA International was a Portuguese airline based in the Azores. It operated scheduled and charter flights primarily between the Azores and North America, Europe, and mainland Portugal. The airline was founded in 1990 and operated until 2015, when it merged with another Portuguese airline, Azores Airlines. SATA International was known for its distinctive orange livery on its aircraft and its focus on connecting the isolated Azores islands with the rest of the world.
