Privatair

  • PrivatAir was a Swiss airline that specialized in private and business aviation services. It was founded in 1977 and operated out of Geneva, Switzerland. PrivatAir offered a range of services including charter flights, aircraft management, aircraft sales, and personnel training.
  • The airline had a fleet of aircraft that catered to various needs and requirements of its clients. These included small jets, mid-size jets, and larger, long-range aircraft. PrivatAir provided personalized and luxurious travel experiences for its passengers, with onboard amenities and services designed to meet the specific preferences and requirements of discerning travelers.
  • In addition to its charter services, PrivatAir also operated scheduled flights on behalf of other airlines. It had partnerships with several major carriers, including Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines. PrivatAir operated these scheduled flights using its own aircraft and crew, providing a premium and customized flying experience for passengers.
  • However, PrivatAir faced financial difficulties and went into liquidation in December 2018. The airline ceased operations, leaving its aircraft fleet grounded and its employees without jobs. Despite its closure, PrivatAir's legacy lives on as an established name in the private aviation industry.
