GB Airways

  • GB Airways was a British airline that operated from 1931 to 2007. It was originally established as Gibraltar Airways and primarily served as a regional airline, connecting Gibraltar with other destinations in Europe. In 1989, it became a franchise carrier for British Airways and operated flights on behalf of British Airways under the name GB Airways.
  • GB Airways operated flights to various destinations including London, Manchester, Gibraltar, Faro, Malaga, and others. It had a fleet of aircraft including Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The airline provided both scheduled and charter services.
  • In 2007, British Airways decided to integrate GB Airways fully into its operations and the airline ceased to exist as a separate entity. The routes previously operated by GB Airways were taken over by British Airways or other franchise partners.
