Cimber Air

  • Cimber Air was a Danish regional airline that operated from 1950 to 2012. The airline was originally established as Cimber Air Taxi in 1950 and provided charter and taxi services in Denmark. Over the years, Cimber Air expanded its operations and became one of the leading regional airlines in Scandinavia.
  • Cimber Air operated scheduled domestic and international flights, primarily within Scandinavia and Europe. The airline had a fleet of aircraft that included various models from manufacturers like ATR and Bombardier.
  • In 2008, Cimber Air went through a major reorganization and became a part of the Cimber Sterling Group. However, the airline faced financial difficulties and eventually filed for bankruptcy in May 2012. After the bankruptcy, some parts of Cimber Air were acquired by other airlines, and the remaining operations ceased to exist.
  • Although Cimber Air is no longer operational, its name and legacy continue to be remembered in the aviation industry.
