- Balkan Bulgarian Airlines was the national carrier of Bulgaria, which operated from 1947 until its dissolution in 2002. It was established as a state-owned airline and was originally known as "Bulgarian State Airlines." The airline played a significant role in the transportation of passengers and cargo within Bulgaria and to international destinations.
- Balkan Bulgarian Airlines operated both domestic and international flights, connecting Bulgaria with various destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. The airline had a fleet of aircraft that included various Soviet-made planes, such as Tupolev, Ilyushin, and Yakovlev models.
